Dartmoor

Dartmoor

Welcome to QMD: Quality Mountain Days. Dedicated to helping you achieve quality days in the mountains. All walks are written up as basic route descriptions with some grid references. They are provided as a ‘Bare Bones Template’ for the walk. There are many interesting features and sites, wildlife and plants, viewpoints and alternatives, to each walk. Part of the adventure is finding these for yourselves.

Dartmoor is not classed as Mountainous Country, although it does have two mountains; Yes Tor and High Willhays. The route given below takes in both of these and covers the five 600s. A route of this sort will qualify as a QMD but having done it there is little or no scope for further QMD bagging on Dartmoor.
